Smaller television and radio stations could compete with larger organizations by providing real-time aerial shots and live coverage to their audiences. They will be able to provide better and more relevant local news and updates.

Movie directors could use Springtail to position a cameraman wherever they can get the best shot at a significant cost and timesaving over current alternatives.

They could also operate multiple craft to capture different angles simultaneously or send craft out for supplies.

Pipeline, Power Line, Port Security, and Railroad Surveillance

These infrastructures stretch for thousands of miles and are often vulnerable to intentional or accidental disruption, which can result in human and property losses.

Large, inaccessible stretches could be patrolled more frequently.

Leaks and breaks could be located faster while providing their precise GPS coordinates to responders.

Faster response to accidents would empower Springtail operators to provide specific aid, notify authorities and alert endangered people to evacuate.

Crop and Livestock Management

Similar to the horse and cowboy of the west, the Springtail can be utilized as a cost-effective tool to get a birds-eye view of a farmer or rancher's acreage.   From an aerial perspective, farmers can evaluate erosion, locate and herd livestock, or help rescue lost animals.  They could also help determine what fields should be harvested next; identify the degree of insect infestation and dust crops, or gain access to remote plantations.

Competitions and Sport

NASCAR, Indy Racing, and Drag Racing are just a few groups that offer the thrill of motorized racing.  Springtail will add the third dimension and open a whole new opportunity for thrill seekers.  In addition to organized racing, there could be more personalized sport use.  Much like the current participation in off-road activities, competitions could be created around the unique abilities of Springtail.  The limits on the uses and types of events are only constrained by the limits of imagination.
